Ash set out on a quest to be the best Pokémon master in the world since his debut. After twenty-five years, the perpetual ten-year-old has finally done it! The momentous event came during the newest episode of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series. In the episode, Pikachu won a battle against a Charizard owned by Leon. The trainer is known for being the champion of the Galar region of the game in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The battle concludes the Pokémon World Coronation Series Masters Eight Tournament. Ash defeated all the other Pokémon League Champions and proved to everyone that he is the best trainer in the world. The official Pokémon Twitter announced the victory with a celebratory tweet.
— Pokémon (@Pokemon) November 11, 2022 Ash’s journey to the top hasn’t been an easy one. He left Pallet Town in 1997 and started his journey to be the Pokémon League Champion. The trainer suffered many defeats in his journey to the top. It was only in 2019 that he became a Pokémon League champion. He defeated Gladion in the Manalo conference and became the champion of the Alola region. Ash’s journey from a newbie trainer to becoming the very best took 1,200 episodes. Audiences from several generations have watched him train, gather some of the most powerful Pokémon and challenge countless trainers and gyms to fulfill his dream. Along the way, Ash has met some of his most loyal friends. Misty and Brock are two of his companions from the very start of his journey. Both Misty and Brock returned to the show to watch Ash win the World Championship. The epic final battle took four episodes to finish. The episode is the highlight of the Pokemon Ultimate Journeys which is the 25th season of the animated show. The show has three more episodes before ending the season. It is unclear what will happen to Ash and Pikachu after winning the World Championship. The Pokémon Company has not yet revealed what is in store for the champion. Fans are hoping that Ash would continue on his quest to “catch ’em all” in the anime and also defend his crown as champion. We hope that the newly crowned World Champion will visit the Paldea region next. The new region will be part of the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet video games which come out next week on the Nintendo Switch. Congratulations Ash! It was a well-deserved victory!
