The action RPG shooter is being developed by Mundfish, a Russian studio based in Cyprus. It will be published by Focus Entertainment which recently released A Plague Tale: Requiem. Atomic Heart finally has a release date. After being announced that the game will come in early 2023, we have now gotten an exact date. Atomic Heart will be released on February 21, 2023, on most platforms.
What we know about Atomic Heart
Atomic Heart is an alternative history game taking place somewhere between the 1930s and 1960s. The technology in this era is much more advanced than what we had then. The game features robots, holograms, and the internet that are even more advanced than today’s tech. In the game, players take on the role of a KGB agent that is investigating a manufacturing facility. The character you play is mentally unstable which somewhat affects how you see things in the game world. The weapons in the game are mostly made from items gathered throughout the levels via an intricate crafting system. There are melee weapons and guns which the player can use to take down what looks to be mutated plants and other biological entities. These weapons can also be upgraded with the use of cassettes. The game will have a hybrid melee and ranged combat. Players can use their makeshift weapons and also some sort of magical powers. The ammunition for guns is somewhat limited in the game. Players can also use stealth in Atomic Hearts to avoid combat. The game also features quick-time events throughout the levels.
The February release
Atomic Hearts will be released with some other big titles around the first quarter of the year. February will be a busy month for gamers. Hogwarts Legacy will probably be the biggest game released in February. Dead Island 2, another action RPG game will be launching on February 3. Action adventure games such as Wild Hearts and Like a Dragon: Ishin will also be released in the same month. Like a Dragon: Ishin will also be launching on the same date as Atomic Hearts. Atomic Hearts has already been hyped as one of the games to watch out for. Hopefully, it does not get overshadowed by the bigger titles coming in the same month. Atomic Hearts is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
