Activision teased the new Warzone Mobile by releasing a video on its official Youtube channel, showing a plane flying through the clouds, similar to the one we’ve seen in Verdansk. This was expected as we’ve already had numerous leaks about Verdansk returning in Warzone Mobile. Thanks to its new website, we have some new details about the upcoming battle royale mobile experience. While the homepage merely says to “tune in to COD Next on September 15 to learn more,” it seems the site’s metadata reveals a bit more than intended. The meta description has been changed since.

— CharlieIntel (@charlieINTEL) September 8, 2022 According to the meta description, Warzone Mobile will feature authentic 120-player lobbies and shared progression. It is still not confirmed what the shared progression insinuates here. Perhaps a shared progression with consoles and PC? 120-player lobbies are quite impressive as is, considering it’s a mobile game. But, adding a shared progression would be quite grand and interesting to see. The confusion is whether the shared progression will feature teaming up with players on PC and consoles or simply featuring cross-progression. We’ve seen cross-progression in Fortnite mobile as well. Cross-progression would make more sense, given putting mobile players up against console or PC players would put them at a disadvantage. We will learn more about the new Warzone Mobile during the Call of Duty NEXT event scheduled to broadcast on September 15, 2022, at 9:30 A.M. PT.
