During a recent interview with NME, the English actor disclosed that his 2023 calendar is essentially booked up by the Marvel project, saying: The series, which has been described by Cox as a “whole new thing” and not a fourth season of the Netflix series, will see him and Vincent D’Onofrio reprise their roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin respectively. With a massive 18-episode first season in development for Disney+, Cox revealed that he has no idea about the story being written for the show, stating: Charlie Cox returned to play the role of the vigilante of Hell’s Kitchen in 2021’s MCU film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and later in the Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, with both appearances being cameo roles. At the German Comic Con in Dortmund, the 40-year-old actor mentioned that he would love to see his character appear in other MCU projects, saying: Considering the dark tone of the Marvel series and Deadpool’s R rating, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Matt Murdock featured in a future installment of Deadpool, a move that would be welcomed by many fans. Until such a time comes, we will have to stay content with Daredevil: Born Again, which is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2024. Who knows? We might even see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man make a cameo in one of the episodes, which might even lead to his highly anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
