Thanks to the latest PlayStation Showcase by Sony, things are looking up for Project EVE. It might even end up joining the likes of Black Myth: Wukong. Similar to Game Science’s equally gorgeous action game, a growing international audience will want to keep an eye on Project EVE.
Devil May Cry + Final Fantasy = Project EVE
Project EVE is generating a ton of hype right now because of its latest gameplay trailer. The ambitious Korean RPG looks absolutely stunning on the PlayStation 5, as Sony took a fair amount of time giving audiences a glimpse of what to expect from the game. Unfortunately, the latest Project EVE gameplay trailer did not come with a release date. However, judging by how polished the game already looks, it appears that it’s only a matter of time before it becomes available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, among other platforms. Speaking of the trailer, the footage previews Project EVE’s humongous creatures. Thankfully, gamers aren’t exactly helpless. The protagonist, Eve, is fairly agile and can zip around the battlefield with ease. She’ll also have a trusty sword at her side, which she definitely seems to know how to use. There’s also this one particular sequence in the trailer where Eve is using a hoverboard to traverse a large tube. Honestly, the game is looking like it’s going to be plenty of fun to play. As we’ve previously mentioned, Project EVE is looking a lot like Devil May Cry with a hint of Final Fantasy. The fast-paced hack-and-slash action should run best on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X where you can enjoy higher frame rates and better resolution. Project EVE will test player’s skills and timing. The game will require gamers to learn how to switch seamlessly between attacking, parrying, and defending, especially when fighting against bosses. The game will also reportedly feature a “beta gauge”. Players can fill this gauge up to use devastating attacks to take enemies down faster. With the next Devil May Cry game likely years away and no specific date for Final Fantasy Origin available, action game fans will want to look forward to Project EVE.
