However, while fans can’t post any of the videos and images anymore without fear of repercussion, this hasn’t stopped attempts to map out the revamped Vice City using Microsoft Paint, Google Earth as well as a whole lot of math and teamwork.
A team of enthusiastic GTA fans is working hard to try and approximate the GTA 6 map, with only leaked material to use. To accomplish this, fans use Google Earth to make it easier for others to understand what they’re talking about, without risking a DMC takedown. Not everyone is a fan of all of this dancing around the restrictions, but it is what it is. In any case, after a few days of pouring over all of the available data, legally acquired or not, fans have created a solid facsimile of GTA 6’s Vice City. The most accurate map right now uses a mix of GTA 5 data with Rockstar’s own engine to properly scale the map for GTA 6. If we believe the speculative drawings, GTA 6’s map could be humongous, which lines up with all of the earlier rumors.

Even if the same community pulled off the exact same thing leading up to the launch of GTA 5 way back then, this is different. Unlike GTA 5, which had plenty of trailers and screenshots floating around online, we have very little official info about GTA 6 to go on. For all we know, the footage that circulated online last weekend was from a now-scrapped build. This isn’t a likely scenario, but it’s not impossible. Also, if it’s true that GTA 6 isn’t coming out until 2025, the game’s map could undergo several changes between now and then. It’s best to take this rudimentary GTA 6 map for what it is - our first semi-real look at what a modern Vice City could look like.
