Case in point, a recent video showcase talking about all things Grand Theft Auto 6 from reliable industry insider, Tom Henderson.
Tom Henderson Talks GTA 6 in Latest Video
Tom Henderson has proven himself to be correct on multiple occasions. His most recent leaks regarding Battlefield 2042 have proven to be mostly correct. He’s also made some impressive claims in the past that turned out to be true. Thus, there are far worse things to do than to listen to what Tom has to say about GTA 6. According to Tom, GTA 6 won’t have a sprawling map as the prevalent “Project Americas” rumor seems to claim. Rather, it will be set in Vice City in the present day. Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time that a Vice City setting for GTA 6 has been talked leaked. Tom claims that the reason why GTA 6 will be set in Vice City is due to the success of Grand Theft Auto Online, which is set to receive its own standalone version along with the next-gen version of GTA V later this year. He adds that it’ll be easier for Rockstar to tie the elements and events of GTA 6 to GTA Online if it were set in Tommy Vercetti’s playground. Obviously, a modern-day Vice City won’t be as massive. Henderson claims that while Vice City won’t be big, it will be “evolving” and will change. We’re assuming that Tom is talking about DLC content here, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Rockstar borrows from Fortnite and continuously switches up the map of GTA 6 with subsequent updates. Other bits of information about GTA 6 that Tom revealed in his latest video includes the game having multiple protagonists, one of which will be female - a first in the series.
When Is the GTA 6 Release Date?
Unfortunately, not everything that Tom revealed about GTA 6 was so positive. Previously, he was one of those who suggested a 2023 release date for GTA 6. Now, Henderson claims that GTA 6 might release in 2024 if not in 2015. He adds that the main reason for this is Rockstar waiting for the market to stabilize so that it can release GTA 6 as a next-gen title and make it available to as many people as possible on the day of its launch. Henderson also suggests that Rockstar is taking things easy with GTA 6. The company had been subject to extreme scrutiny in the past due to its crunch policies. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Rockstar has taken a step back to try and eased up on expectations. The obvious result of this is the 2025 release date for GTA 6. If true, then fans can take solace in the fact that GTA 6 will not go down the same road as Cyberpunk 2077. Ultimately though, we do suggest that you take everything Henderson has said with a grain of salt. Even he admits that he’s not known for leaking Grand Theft Auto information. We recommend you refrain from getting your hopes up until an official announcement. In the meantime, you can keep yourself busy by playing these games like GTA 6.
