Pacific Drive is the answer to this non-existent question, but something that’s going to stick on your mind now that we’ve mentioned it. As far as unique games go, Pacific Drive is right up there among the most original. Developed by Ironwood Studios, Pacific Drive is set in the Pacific Northwest (which makes sense) with nothing but you and your old rust bucket in a “road-like” game where you will drive around a land fraught with peril. According to its creators, the PS5-exclusive game is a “run-based, first-person driving survival game”. The game will put you behind the wheel as you drive for your life and try to make your way through the barren wasteland. Here’s what Alex Dracott, Founder & Creative Director of Ironwood Studios, said about Pacific Drive: Pacific Drive is also coming out on the PC at the same it launches for the PS5. Although it’s not confirmed, we’re betting on Sony making Pacific Drive available for the PSVR2 at launch if not soon after. Ironwood Studios isn’t a household name and was only formed in 2019. However, it’s made up of talented individuals with experience working on big-time companies such as Bungie, Activision, Insomniac Games, and Sucker Punch Productions. Pacific Drive was part of an eventful State of Play showcase for Sony. Other games that were featured in the event include God of War: Ragnarok, Tekken 8, and Like a Dragon: Ishin!.
