According to Dealabs, which has correctly leaked PS Plus games since last year, those with active PlayStation Plus subscriptions will get at least three free games for next month. Specifically, the games are Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Slay the Spire, and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated. Perhaps it was wishful thinking for Sony to follow up last month’s solid offerings with a trio of noteworthy titles, but the leaked April freebies aren’t half-bad. Slay the Spire is a beloved card-based indie title from MegaCrit, which is often credited as the reason for the recent surge in roguelike deck-building titles. Meanwhile, Focus Home Interactive’s Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a promising game even though it eventually languished in mediocrity when it was first launched last May. After nearly a year of updates, the recent reviews of the PvPvE title suggest that it has since turned things around albeit at the expense of losing the interest of its player base. With an expected influx of PS Plus subscribers once it becomes available in April, Hood: Outlaws & Legends could get a much-needed second lease in life soon if only temporarily. Finally, SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated is a remaster of the original Battle for Bikini Bottom title from way back when. The HD improvements make Battle for Bikini Bottom a nice addition for PS4 and PS5 owners looking for a game for younger audiences. Speaking of announcements, Sony is expected to announce Project Spartacus on top of the PS Plus lineup for April 2022 following an earlier leak. We’ll know soon enough if Sony is indeed sitting on a Game Pass competitor or not. Until then, PS Plus subscribers might want to add the most recent batch of PS Plus games to their accounts. The March 2022 PS Plus lineup includes the likes of Ghostrunner, Ark: Survival Evolved, Team Sonic Racing, and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
