According to Lucasfilm Games, The Skywalker Saga is going to come out on all major gaming platforms on April 5. In addition to confirming the release date, The Skywalker Saga also got an extended gameplay trailer that showcases all the unique environments from all nine of the core Star Wars movies, among others. The Skywalker Saga’s expansive scope is one of the biggest draws of the game. Once The Skywalker Saga hits the market, Star Wars fans can explore settings from the movies “in any order”, which will allow everyone to go through “their own unique journey through the galaxy.” It has been a long time coming for The Skywalker Saga. TT Games originally announced the game back in 2019 and planned to release it in 2020. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, TT Games had to postpone the game’s launch multiple times. Unfortunately, despite the delays, there are reports of TT Games subjecting employees to extensive crunch to push the game out and get it ready. It will be interesting to see if this controversy will continue to follow around The Skywalker Saga once it’s out. More importantly, we’re curious to find out if it’s going to hurt the game. Several reports of workplace crunch have effectively forced several studios to reconsider their formerly “normal” practices in the wake of Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt RED’s controversial game dominated the gaming headlines for most of 2020 and 2021. After the Polish studio became the subject of scrutiny for forcing employees to work extended hours, a growing number of staff members from other studios have since stepped out to call their respective employers. In other news, The Skywalker Saga is the first of Warner Bros.’ many games that are set to launch this year to get a proper release date. In particular, fans are anticipating Warner Bros. to confirm when exactly Hogwarts Legacy, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and Gotham Knights, as well as Multiversus, will all come out.
