The Best builds for Qiqi ultimately maximizes her healing potential. However, you can also focus on using her Elemental Skill to deal with an insane amount of Cryo damage. You can choose to build her as a supportive damage dealer, a healer, support, or a full-on DPS character. This guide will explain Qiqi’s skills in-depth and provide the best build that optimizes her kit. The guide will also talk about the best Team compositions for Qiqi.

Qiqi’s Talents

Ancient Sword Art

Qiqi’s Normal attacks perform five rapid strikes. Her charged attack unleashes two rapid sword strikes while consuming some stamina. Qiqi’s plunging attack allows her to plunge from mid-air to strike the ground below and deal AoE damage upon impact.

Herald of Frost

Qiqi’s Elemental Skill is the Herald of Frost. She summons the Herald of Frost, and whenever she hits a target using her attack, she heals all of her party members. The Herald of Frost also heals the current character in intervals. And lastly, the Herald of Frost follows the current character around and deals Cryo damage to the enemies. The healing of the Herald of Frost depends on the ATK damage of Qiqi.

Preserver of Fortune

Qiqi’s Elemental Burst is the Preserver of Fortune. Using this Elemental Burst marks nearby enemies with a Fortune-Preserving Talisman, dealing Cryo damage. You can also deal damage on enemies with a talisman, and that character who dealt damage will regenerate HP. A general tactic is to use this elemental burst and switch out to your preferred primary damage dealer so your main DPS can dish out damage accompanied by constant healing.

Life-Prolonging Methods

Life-Prolonging Methods is a passive that is unlocked on Qiqi’s 1st Ascension. Characters that have Herald of Frost activated on them can trigger an Elemental Reaction, and their healing bonus will increase by 20% for eight seconds.

A Glimpse into Arcanum

This passive unlocks on Ascension level 4. Whenever Qiqi hits enemies with her attacks, there is a 50% chance that she will apply a Fortune-Preserving Talisman to the enemies for six seconds. The effect has a cooldown of thirty seconds.

Former Life Memories

This passive is automatically unlocked. Every time you use Qiqi, you will see the nearby resources unique to Liyue on the mini-map. This makes her one of the best characters for gathering as well.

Qiqi Build

The main focus of Qiqi’s build is increasing her ATK. Her healing scales with her ATK damage, so to get the maximum damage output while healing, we will focus on increasing her ATK first. The next priority you should look into is Energy Recharge, to get to use Herald of Frost and Preserver of Fortune as much as possible. And lastly is Healing Bonus. This factor is not as important as the first two, but is a better pick than Defense and HP.

Weapons

There are multiple options as weapons for Qiqi. Below are some of the good options as a weapon for Qiqi. We included three weapons obtainable by a wish, and a craftable option as well.

Skyward Blade

Skyward Blade’s effect is called Fangs That Pierce The Heavens. This sword is the best weapon for Qiqi because it gives her Crit Rate +4%. You get the Skypiercing Might effect whenever you use Qiqi’s elemental burst. Skypiercing Might increases your movement speed by +10% and ATK speed by +10%. The effect also increases the DMG of Qiqi’s normal and charged attack hits by 20%, and these effects last for twelve seconds. However, this weapon is only obtainable by a wish.

Sacrificial Sword

Another suitable weapon for Qiqi is the Sacrificial Sword. Though it has a lower rarity rating, it is still a good weapon for Qiqi. Sacrificial Sword gives an effect where after damaging an opponent using an Elemental Skill, the elemental skill has a 40/50/60/70/80% chance to end its CD. The effect can occur every 30/26/22/18/14s. This effect is perfect for keeping the Herald of Frost up to provide constant healing and damage.

The Flute

The Flute has a four-star rarity rating and is not as challenging to get compared to the Skyward Blade. The Flute grants Harmonic on normal and charged attacks. Once you gain five Harmonics, you trigger music’s power and deal 100% ATK DMG to nearby enemies. The Harmonics effect can last up to thirty seconds, and gaining a Harmonic can be done every 0.5 seconds. The Flute is obtainable via Wish as well.

Prototype Rancour

Every time your Normal or Charged Attack hits, Prototype Rancour increases ATK and DEF by 4% for six seconds. This effect stacks for a maximum of four times. The effect can occur every 0.3 seconds. To forge the Prototype Rancour, you will need the following:

Northlander Sword Prototype x1 Crystal Chunk x50 White Iron Chunk x50

You can obtain the Artifacts in Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern. To get the full set, you will need the following Artifact Pieces:

Team Compositions

Qiqi is a powerful healer and support. She would work well with any team composition just because of her healing powers. However, below are some team compositions to add Qiqi in, and these teams are some of the top-tier teams currently in the game.

High DPS Team

A great General and High DPS Team consists of Keqing, Diluc, Venti, and Qiqi. Obtaining these characters will require some patience and luck because they are five-star rated characters. However, combining these four characters allows your team to dish out maximum DPS, while Qiqi manages the party’s HP with her insane healing. Keqing can help you maneuver the world easily, while Diluc and Venti can gather multiple enemies and crush them all at once. Qiqi is an essential part of this party to increase its survivability.

Elemental Combo Team

Another strong team in Genshin Impact consists of Diluc, Klee, Qiqi, and Venti. Combining both Diluc and Klee gives you an additional 25% attack power due to their elemental resonance. The team is great for boss and group battles, with Venti gathering the enemies in one place. Klee’s skill also applies a Defense debuff, and the team deals a melt elemental combination. Adding Qiqi to this team covers the healing needed by the team.

Summary

Qiqi is a powerful healer when built right. Her skills deal Cryo Elemental damage and heal her party. Qiqi’s healing scales with her ATK, so increasing her ATK is a priority if you want to make her your support and healing character. However, you can also choose different artifact sets that focus on Energy Recharging or boosting healing. Any team composition works with Qiqi due to her powerful healing. However, top-tier teams usually consist of a top-tier DPS, support DPS, and support characters like Qiqi and Venti.
