Thankfully, Rockstar Games has put an end to allyou co the speculation and rumors, confirming that the next GTA game is in development.
Despite the confirmation, leakers and insiders still haven’t stopped coming up with new information about GTA 6. Case in point, a trusted Rockstar source claims that the studio is going to reveal more of the sixth GTA game this year. According to TezFun on the GTAForums, fans should “expect the usual initial announcement we are used to this year.” He added that the reveal will include “Work in progress materials. Like the first GTA V trailer.” While Rockstar’s confirmation last week corroborates earlier reports, TezFun’s claims go even one step further. But, remember, TezFun is not from Rockstar, so his words aren’t official unless otherwise confirmed. However, it is interesting that TezFun noted that Take-Two Interactive will announce GTA 6 soon, on February 7 in an upcoming earnings call. This should give some fans more info about where Rockstar is at with GTA 6. Here’s to hoping that we’ll start hearing more about GTA VI soon. Unfortunately, if Tom Henderson’s claims are to be believed, the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game won’t be out until 2025. In other news, Rockstar reportedly has a full slate of games in the coming years to tide fans over for GTA 6’s release. Back in November, there were talks that Rockstar would release a remastered version of GTA IV in 2023. Meanwhile, in January, another set of reports suggest that a Red Dead Redemption remake would be released in the same year as the GTA IV remaster. Of course, neither of these have been confirmed yet, but if GTA VI isn’t going to be here for a long time, it would make sense for Rockstar to keep audiences busy until then.
