The action-adventure title was released in 2020 and received critical acclaim while also selling well commercially. It’s even led to the developers being named as official ambassadors of the real-life island of Tsushima with a movie helmed by John Wick’s Chad Stahelski in the works. Given its success, it’s only natural that fans have been asking for the PlayStation exclusive title to make its way to other platforms. If recent leaks are to be believed, Ghost of Tsushima could indeed be coming to the PC soon.

Is Ghost of Tsushima on PC Confirmed?

After the success of Horizon Zero Dawn on the PC, Sony Interactive Entertainment has been more open to releasing its exclusive titles on the PC. In fact, Days Gone recently made its way to the PC platform, with Uncharted rumored to be next. Speaking of rumors, earlier in April, a leaker previously talked about a PC port for Ghost of Tsushima and God of War being in the works. Although the speculations have been rather quiet for months, the release of new box art for Ghost of Tsushima seems to have reignited the discussions. In particular, keen-eyed observers are pointing out that the updated box art no longer contains the “Only on PlayStation” text. Of course, this isn’t the only thing that’s new in the updated box art. It now also mentions the new multiplayer component for Ghost of Tsushima. In addition to this, the game now uses the new PlayStation Studio logo. However, this hasn’t stopped fans from claiming that it’s only a matter of time before Ghost of Tsushima makes its way on the PC as per earlier leaks. We recommend taking all of this with a grain of salt. After all, Sony hasn’t confirmed anything. Also, just because the box art no longer includes the “Only on PlayStation” text doesn’t mean that the game is coming to other platforms already. It’s worth noting that Ghost of Tsushima isn’t the only PlayStation exclusive with the “Only on PlayStation” marking removed from its box art. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales doesn’t have the “Only on PlayStation” text from its physical game case either. The same goes for PS5 exclusives Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, as well as Demon’s Souls, and even Returnal. Having said that, we wouldn’t exactly be surprised if Ghost of Tsushima does indeed make its way to the PC. Just don’t expect this to happen anytime soon.
