Although Only BD Wong would reprise his role from the original Jurassic Park trilogy in the soft reboot/sequel, the later films featured more cameos. In particular, Jeff Goldblum returned for a small role in the sequel. For the upcoming third film, more stars from the 90s classic films are set to return. This includes Sam Neill, who was the main character in 1993’s Jurassic Park and 2001’s Jurassic Park III. Despite not having played the role of Dr. Alan Grant for years, many fans still remember him for his portrayal. Because of this, he recently signed a Lego set based on the franchise. However, after signing it, the 73-year-old actor couldn’t help but point out how the Lego set seems to depict his character in the Jurassic Park/World franchise.
— Sam Neill (@TwoPaddocks) August 26, 2021 According to his tweet, the Jurassic Park actor was just signing a Lego set box for a charity only to find that Lego had paired his character from the original Jurassic Park films with a toilet. He points out that the other characters have pictures of their actors beside them. Meanwhile, his character has a picture of a toilet. As for why this happened to just Neill’s character, we have no idea. Perhaps Neill is right to demand an explanation. Maybe, just maybe, this will force Lego to tell Universal Pictures to finally release a trailer for Jurassic World: Dominion as compensation? In all seriousness though, it’s nice that Neill is a good sport.
What’s next for Jurassic World: Dominion?
Hopefully, new footage from Jurassic World: Dominion does drop soon. Fans could use a look at the last film in the Jurassic World trilogy after the COVID-19 pandemic delayed its filming and production in 2020. It’ would be a shame not to do it after the positive early reactions to the footage recently released at CinemaCon 2021. If it’s any consolation, Jurassic World Evolution 2 is set to release soon. The park building simulator should be enough to tide over the franchise’s more gaming-inclined fans.
