Another controversial scene was the revelation that Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk, had a son named Skaar. The scene caused so much speculation about the future of the MCU. Fans have assumed that we are getting the Planet Hulk and World War Hulk story arc sometime in the future. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s concept artist weighed in on the appearance of Skaar and gave an estimate of the character’s age during the season finale. Constantine Sekeris shared on an Instagram post some details regarding Hulk’s son, including his age, saying: Sekeris later revealed that Skaar is 17-18 years old and “cocky and tough” in the MCU.
Hulk’s off-world adventures
The Hulk went off-world after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is in 2015 in the MCU timeline. The green giant eventually crashed the Quinjet he took at the end of the movie on the planet Sakaar. In 2017, Thor unexpectedly met Hulk in Sakaar after he was captured and forced to fight as a Gladiator. Hulk was then the Grandmaster’s champion at that time. The pair escaped the planet after inciting a rebellion. A year later, Avengers: Infinity Ward happened and several more years later, Avengers: Endgame took place. More less, Hulk has been off-world for almost a decade before he introduced his son to the rest of the MCU. “I know I’ve been away on Sakaar for awhile. I’ll tell you all about it, but first, I have someone here I’d like you all to meet,” Banner said when introducing Skaar to the MCU in the She-Hulk season finale. If it was only a decade since Banner left Earth, how would he have a teenage son? Well, time may work differently on the planet Sakaar. It may have just been ten years on Earth but it may have well been double that on Sakaar. In the comics, Skaar also aged at an accelerated rate. This is a great way to explain why Skaar is already as old as he is. Interestingly, the revealed age of Skaar may set him up to be part of the Young Avengers. Hopefully, we will get to see more of the young Hulk in the MCU. Perhaps as part of season 2 for She-Hulk? For now, Marvel fans can look forward to watching Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in the movie theaters on Friday, November 11.
