The events of Tactics Ogre: Reborn take place in the Valerian Isles after the death of the Dynast-King Dorgulya Oberyth. Oberyth was a great ruler who strove to ensure peace for his people. Unfortunately, he had no heir and upon his death, three ethnic groups struggle to gain power, thereby throwing the kingdom into war and chaos. Tactics Ogre: Reborn follows Pavel, the resistance fighter who gets caught in the civil war and rebels against his oppressors. He is accompanied on this journey by his sister, Catiua, and childhood friend, Vyce Bozeck. The game progresses based on Pavel’s choices, with each choice determining how the story develops and, ultimately, how it ends. Apart from Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, the Ogre Battle series has four other original titles. Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen was the first game in the series. This version was released in Japan in 1993 before arriving in North America in 1995. The third game Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber was released in 1999, and the fourth, Ogre Battle Gaiden: Prince of Zenobia, was released in 2000. Finally, the fifth and final part of the series, Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis, was released in 2001. In other news, Marvel has finally hired a director for the next Venom movie.
