Stallone slyly confirms that he’s returning to the MCU
The 75-year-old actor went on Instagram to confirm his return for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But, he didn’t announce it either Instead, Stallone used a post wherein he showcased what he described as what “goes on behind the scenes for filmmaking.” He then takes audiences through the process of what filmmakers use to make sure that they can capture “every expression you could have” so that the filmmakers can duplicate your face in case “you’re not around.” He then says that moviemaking has “become a science”. In the second clip, Sly poses with the equipment used by Marvel Studios for their films. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the third time that Stallone will work together with James Gunn. The film’s director also had a brief stint with the DCEU in the critically-acclaimed The Suicide Squad. In the said film, Stallone lends his voice for King Shark as the film depicts him as a humanoid child-like shark creature that has no problems tearing enemies limb from limb. In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Stallone is also working on The Expendables 4. Stallone has confirmed that the fourth The Expendables film will mark his final appearance in the series. He also added that he’s working on other films at the moment as he comes back to the United States. Given that we already know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is one of them, we’re interested to know what other projects the legendary actor is working on. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the only upcoming MCU film that wasn’t delayed. Gunn’s third film for the MCU is set to release on May 5, 2023.
