The events of Dying Light 2 pick up years after the end of the first Dying Light game. However, unlike 2015’s underrated title, the Harran Virus has spread outside of Harran. In Dying Light 2, the virus has ravaged the entire world. Now, what’s left are a handful of settlements, one of which is the setting for the sequel. Judging from the videos, Dying Light 2’s crafting and skills will not be too different from the first game save some minor improvements and changes. The video also sees Techland add a handful of new zombie types that you typically won’t see in other zombie games. For those who don’t mind spoilers, YouTube should still have some of the videos of the first two hours of Dying light 2 up. It’s been a long road for Dying Light 2 to get here. The game was supposed to be released in 2020, but Techland pushed its release date back several times. Thankfully, the Dying Light 2 finally went gold last November. Since then, the Polish studio has done an excellent job drumming hype for the game. However, it wasn’t without its controversial moments. Case in point, Techland found itself the subject of criticism when it said that Dying Light 2 would take completionists more than 500 hours to finish. The studio later clarified its statement and explained that the main story of Dying Light 2 only has around 20+ hours worth of content. Ultimately, Dying Light 2 has a bright future. Techland supported the first Dying Light for more than five years. Just last year, Techland ported the game over to the Nintendo Switch. Now, Techland guarantees that it will support Dying Light 2 for at least five years. In other news, Dying Light 2 is the first of a handful of AAA titles that will launch this February. In addition to Techland’s zombie game, gamers can also look forward to Sifu, Horizon Forbidden West, and Elden Ring.
