In total, the Alone in the Dark franchise spanned 7 installments in total, including an online-only attempt in 2015, Alone in the Dark: Illumination, an effort that should have never seen the light of the day. Three decades after the first game launched, it appears that THQ Nordic, the new owners of the IP, might be preparing to announce a new installment, or maybe even a remake. Flawless insider, The Snitch, recently posted a cryptic tweet. They said, “Being afraid of the dark is what keeps most of us alive,” which is a quote from the 2005 movie adaptation. The film is not exactly the best representation of a video game adaptation, but the point is still true. The Snitch has done an excellent job leaking info ahead of their announcements.
