Warner Bros and Avalanche Software haven’t talked much about Hogwarts Legacy outside of confirming that it wouldn’t be released last year. However, this hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from churning out useful intel. Case in point, in December, AccountNGT, and MillieA confirmed separately on Twitter that a trailer for Hogwarts Legacy was coming soon. Later on, Tom Henderson claimed that one of Sony’s upcoming State of Play will heavily feature gameplay footage of Hogwarts Legacy. Now, it appears that Warner Bros has grown tired of all the speculation and decided to “confirm” that Hogwarts Legacy is coming this year. After the official Twitter account of Warner Bros Brazil validated Hogwarts Legacy’s release date, the official Harry Potter website, Wizarding World, just posted a new update about what Potterheads can expect from the franchise year. Among other things, the post confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy is still on track to be released this 2022. Of course, this isn’t final and things are subject to change. But, this information is as legitimate as it gets - you’ll want to doubt anything that you’ve read that says otherwise. In other news, Warner Bros appears hesitant to give most of its games this year a release date. Warner Bros is set to publish at least four games this 2022. Of the four, only LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has a specific date, the rest all have 2022 timelines.
